Archewell, the charity founded by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, has been declared delinquent by California’s Attorney General, Rob Bonta, due to unpaid fees. The organization has been instructed to cease fundraising activities. This action followed Archewell’s failure to file required annual reports and renewal fees since early May 2024. The charity, located in California and established in March 2020 after the couple stepped back from royal duties, now faces potential fines or suspension from the registry of charitable entities.

Despite the hiccup, an insider claimed that Archewell had indeed sent the necessary documentation and fees on time but for unspecified reasons, the payment was not processed. A subsequent check was issued by Archewell to rectify the situation. As of now, the charity is still listed as delinquent on the state’s official registry. The issue comes amid a significant drop in the foundation’s revenue, which plunged by $10.4 million in one year.
