Two contestants from the ITV show “The Fortune Hotel,” Adam and Michael, have shared a controversial and offensive video clip on their social media channels. Known as “The Naked Builders,” the duo from Bognor Regis have over 250,000 followers across TikTok and Instagram, where they primarily post comedic sketches and on-site videos.

In April, a now-deleted video posted by the pair featured racist and misogynistic content. The sketch included derogatory comments about women and offensive imitations of a Chinese doctor. Despite being deleted, the video garnered over 91,000 views on Instagram and 63,000 plays on TikTok.

A spokesperson for “The Fortune Hotel” stated that all contestants’ social media accounts undergo checks, and guidance is provided on social media conduct. The problematic post was published after filming concluded, and the contestants have been spoken to regarding the issue.

“The Fortune Hotel” is a new game show on ITV hosted by Stephen Mangan, where participants stay at a Caribbean resort and compete in challenges while identifying betrayers. Adam and Michael had also previously posted other controversial content, including sketches that used mock Asian accents and inappropriate imagery.

Despite the backlash for the offensive content, Adam and Michael are among the show’s contestants, wherein one of their goals is to win the £250,000 prize for their families. Viewer responses to the show have been mixed, with some criticizing it as a copy of the BBC show “The Traitors.”

In addition to Adam and Michael, the contestant lineup includes teams such as best friends Jae and Cherish from South London, partners Gary and Lesley from Suffolk, and business partners Chloe and Louie from Bolton.
