Former U.S. President Donald Trump made his first public appearance following his conviction on 34 counts of falsifying business records in his hush money trial. On Saturday night, Trump attended UFC 302 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, where he was seen backstage with fighter Alex Pereira and received a warm reception from the crowd.

This appearance came just days after the jury delivered its verdict on Thursday, finding Trump guilty of using a $130,000 payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels to influence the 2016 presidential election. Daniels, who reacted to the verdict, called Trump “out of touch with reality.”

During the event, Trump was introduced by UFC President Dana White and received a standing ovation from the audience of around 17,000, complete with chants of “USA, USA!” and “f**k Joe Biden.” Trump mingled with fans, took selfies, and launched a new TikTok account, which quickly gained 220,000 followers.

Despite his conviction, Trump remains active in public and is preparing for his sentencing on July 11. His campaign reported raising $52 million following the guilty verdict, indicating strong support from his base.
