Comedian Jim Carrey has slashed the price of his Brentwood home in Los Angeles for the third time since listing it over a year ago, now offering the 12,700 sq. ft. property at $21.9 million from an original price of $28.9 million in 2023.
Jim Carrey has once again reduced the price of his Los Angeles estate, marking the third price cut since listing it over a year ago. The 62-year-old comedian’s Brentwood home, originally priced at $28.9 million in February 2023, now stands at $21.9 million, after subsequent reductions to $27 million and $24 million.
Carrey, who has owned the 12,700 sq. ft. property for over 30 years, purchased it in 1994 for $3.8 million. The expansive home features amenities such as a tennis court, waterfall pool, outdoor treetop platform, and an infrared sauna. The single-story residence includes five bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and three half baths.
Carrey mentioned to The New York Post that he is ready for changes, citing reduced time spent at the property. The home, rich in personal decor and equipped with various leisure facilities, served as his sanctuary for decades.
Meanwhile, Shohei Ohtani, Los Angeles Dodgers’ star, has purchased a modern mansion in La Cañada Flintridge for $7.85 million. The 7,327 sq. ft. home, previously owned by comedian Adam Carolla, features five bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, and amenities such as a movie theater, swimming pool, and basketball court. This purchase follows Ohtani’s signing of a $700 million, 10-year contract with the Dodgers.
