A man in his 30s has died in police custody at Gablecross Police Station, Swindon, after falling ill. The incident occurred around 9 a.m. today. Superintendent Steve Cox confirmed that the man, who had been held in custody since Saturday morning, became unwell and was pronounced dead around 9 a.m. The case has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), which has begun an independent investigation.
