Three teenagers, including a student from the £40,000 per year Ellesmere College, died following a car crash in Penkridge, Staffordshire. The incident occurred on Saturday night when their car collided with a tree. Dafydd Hûw Craven-Jones, 18, and Morgan Jones, 17, both from Wrexham, died at the scene, while an unnamed 17-year-old girl passed away in the hospital on Tuesday. Another 17-year-old girl remains in a stable condition in the hospital.

The crash site on Cannock Road is marked with a Welsh flag in memory of Dafydd and Morgan. Dafydd’s family described him as a “beautiful soul, a wonderful son.” Morgan’s family remembered him as a “kind, caring, and loving young man” who was passionate about sports and farming.

Ellesmere College’s acting headteacher, Vicky Pritt-Roberts, expressed the school community’s shock and sadness over Dafydd’s death, noting his enthusiasm and considerate nature. Staffordshire Police continue to investigate the crash, citing the involvement of a Ford Ka. Witnesses are urged to contact authorities with any information.
