Aalim Makail Ahmed lost his life in a heartbreaking incident when he fell from a kitchen window, leaving a community in mourning and authorities investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
A five-year-old boy, Aalim Makail Ahmed, fell to his death from the 15th-floor kitchen window of his family’s flat in Jacobs House, New City Road, Newham, east London, on May 16. The incident occurred around 6 a.m., and his body was found impaled on railings below. His father first discovered the scene, his anguished cries alerting residents who called emergency services.
Paramedics and police arrived shortly after but could not save Aalim. An inquest by East London coroner Ian Wade KC revealed that the fall caused “multiple injuries due to trauma,” resulting in his instantaneous death. A full investigation is being conducted by Newham Council to understand the circumstances.
Aalim was described by his school headteacher as a “beautiful, happy, and caring boy.” His death has deeply affected his family and community, prompting tributes and condolences at the scene.
