A watch dealer was found dead in Shepperton on Sunday, May 26, 2024, a day after a robbery at his store in Richmond, south-west London. Oliver White, in his 20s, was put in a chokehold by one of two unarmed men who stole numerous high-value watches.

Images from CCTV, shared by the Metropolitan Police, show the suspects presenting a watch for repair before launching their attack. One man held White down while his accomplice filled a rucksack with watches. The assault occurred around 2:50 PM on Saturday at the jewellers on Kew Road.

Surrey Police discovered White’s body at his home around 8:15 PM on Sunday after a concern for safety was reported. His death is not being treated as suspicious. White’s girlfriend, Alana Dredge, posted a heartfelt tribute on social media, expressing her grief and their plans to buy a home together.

The investigation into the robbery is ongoing, and the Metropolitan Police have released images of the suspects, appealing for any information. Those who can identify the men or provide information are asked to contact the police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
